VGP 2013 Interim Requirements
In anticipation of the final regulations, we continue to provide vessels with dedicated support under the existing framework
- Large Commercial Vessels (≥ 79 feet in length), except fishing vessels: We help you adhere to the existing vessel discharge requirements established through the EPA's 2013 VGP and the USCG ballast water regulations, along with any applicable state and local government requirements.
- Small Vessels (<79 feet in length) and Fishing Vessels of any size: Our solutions ensure compliance with the existing discharge requirements for ballast water only, as specified in the EPA's 2013 VGP and the USCG ballast water regulations, along with any relevant state and local government requirements.
VIDA to Replace VGP in 2024
- The current version of the VGP, which was issued in 2013, was originally set to expire in 2018.
- VIDA, restructured by EPA and USCG, to replace VGP, will amend in Sept 2024.
- VIDA will establish new national standards for incidental discharges from commercial vessels into US waters.
